Too young for a hysterectomy?From: marilyn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 28 Mar 2000 13:58:30 -0600 (CST)
im a healthy 27 year old with 2 children and 7 unsuccessfull pregnacys behind me. I have had pre-cancerous cells on my cervex recently return after several coloscopys and cryo-freezes. I have also had a laperoscopy to treat mild endometriosis. I experienced a miscarage 9 weeks ago with no D&C, and still continue to bleed like im on my period. my doctor sugested that i take 1 birth control pill every 6 hours for 5 days to stop the bleeding. This option has been unsucessfull so now he is recomending a hysterectomy. Is there any alternative to stop the bleeding because im unsure if i want to have anymore children. any information would be greatly appreciated. thank you.
