Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: Breast Lump" I found a lump in my right breast about 5 weeks ago at about the 12:00 angle .I went to the Drs. 2 weeks ago and he sent me for an ultrasound which I just had done this past Tuesday.The technician said that he did not see any cysts. I also had a mammogram this past December and everything was o:k. The lump is not painful at all, I found it in the shower doing a self exam. With both the mammogram and ultrasound not showing anything, Is this something that I should not be concerned about ? My Dr. seemed to be quite concerned and it has scared me. He wants me to go back in 1 month for a recheck.I am 40 years old and have had total hysterectomy and BSO .I am not taking HRT due to endometriosis Mothers family medical history unknown .
