Re: To all Drs that have tried to help meFrom: jwang, M.D. (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 20 Mar 2000 18:25:11 -0600 (CST)
I ertainly think that a laparoscopy is the right way to go. While it is normal to be nervous about surgery, you seem to have an extreme case of fear. 1. The likelyhood of cancer is VERY small. You have had numerous ultrasounds that show no abnormalitiy and a normal ca-125. While not diagnostic, they are reassuring. 2. Anesthesia is safer than it ever has been. They monitor your heart, your blood pressure, the amount of oxygen in your blood. If anything starts to go wrong (which very, very rarely happens) it is caught early on. Ask the anethesiologist to go over all this with you. I'm sure you will feel more comfortable once you know how things are.
