When should I start the Birth Control Pill?From: Kari (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 13 Mar 2000 18:20:30 -0600 (CST)
I'm 20 years old and I'm getting married in August of 2000. I am a virgin and I've never had anything to do with a OBGYN. I know that I need to, I just don't know if I should go now, or a month before the wedding. Another question. My period is very irregular and I'm wondering if the pill would help at all. The reason I ask is because I want to know when I'm going to have my period in August, knowing it will be the first time I will be having sex. I don't want to have anything to do with my period around that time. I have MAJOR cramping, and I hurt everywhere. So that would be a total pain to go through on my honeymoon. Since I've decided to take the pill anyway as our contreceptive, should I start now, to regulate me, or wait a couple months before the wedding? So, I guess I need to know when to go to the Gynecologist. Thank you for your time.
