1 or 2 yeast infections a monthFrom: Jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 13 Mar 2000 14:24:03 -0600 (CST)
I've been getting yeast infections more and more regularly it seems...the doctor took a sample for the lab and says it is regular or common yeast infection...and gave me a prescription for Diflucan...however, I have used all 3 pills within the last 2 months to treat the yeast...I get the yeast and a little irritation but not any pain or burning...and I now have discharge again! (have had worse symptoms but I now usually treat it at the onset). There has to be a reason that these are recurring...the doctor gives me the usually lecture on do's and don'ts which I follow...and she says that some women get them more regularly around menstruation time...but that still doesn't comfort me!...I know some of the big things are not wearing tight clothing (I don't), wearing cotton underwear (how about if you don't wear any though!?!)...I never take baths or use scented anything...not sure if I should change clothes detergent...I eat well but do get shaky/tired/irritable if I don't eat at relatively normal meal times! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! J
