Excessive hair growth can be genetic (common in those of Mediterranean origin, almost unheard of in Scandinavians unless there's a problem) or hormonal. Although polycystic ovarain syndrome (PCOS) usually causes less frequent periods, it can be associated with increased hair growth. You need a little more than thyroid testing to get tho the bottom of this. Sorry, but others will have to commonet on costs. The labs don't share that with us.
