I had a tubal ligation a month after my son was born. I was 22, had 2 kids and after having trouble both carrying and delivering my two children, I decided that a tubal ligation was best for me. As for the type of tubal that was done, I am not sure. I did not ask the dr. My periods were normal before the tubal and now they are extremely painful and somewhat heavy at times. I recently went to a gynecologist who put me on progestrin and told me to come back in a month. If the progestrin do not work, I am up for a hysterectomy. I am fairly new at this, as I have never had problems before my tubal, therefore I am not very educated about the problems associated with your condition but if you ever need anyone to talk to about it, dont hesitate to email me. I am currently researching different things about it and maybe we could share different ideas and information. I wish you the best of luck.
