I was diagnosed with group b strep in the urine and vagina at 9 weeks pregnant. this is my second baby. the first baby, i tested negative. why dont they treat this infection early if it can cause preterm labor and uterine infections. also, how did i get this infection when i was negative before. many articles group it with STD's. can i transmit this to my husband? can i transmit it to him through oral sex since it also can be in the throat. can i transmit it to my baby if i share food and drinks with her? i am very worried about this and have many unanswered questions.
