CryoFrom: Rachel (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 29 Feb 2000 20:50:30 -0600 (CST)
About a year and a half ago I went in for my yearly exam, and was given a clean bill of health. A few months later, I realized that I had been experiencing pain and light bleeding during intercourse on a regular basis. So I went back in. The PA who was treating me gave me a perscription for an antibotic, which I later discovered was used to treat Chlamidia, even though I had tested negative for that. After not getting anywhere with her, I went to see a GYNOB. I have since been through two different drug treatments, a biopsy, and now cryo something or another. What does this mean? She doesn't seem to think it is a big deal. But when I think of a biopsy I think cancer, and if this is a step past a biopsy, what is it? I understand the process involves freezing the cells on the face of my cervix (in my case), but why is it used? And what does it accomplish?
