unexplained changes in breastsFrom: Victoria (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 28 Feb 2000 08:50:50 -0600 (CST)
I am twenty and have been on birth control pills for at least five years now for regulation and painful periods. I have been pretty normal since switching to Ortho-Tricyclen two years ago. I do not miss pills at all. This past month my breasts nearly doubled in size and were heavy and swollen but not tender or painful. I became very sick to my stomach in the mornings and became fearful that the pill may have failed. My period started a day early and lasted a day later than usual, but after the initial hour it was lighter than normal and was almost spotting. I have looked in every medical book I can find and cannot locate an explaination. I can't be pregnant can I? I did a home test at my aunts insistance the day before my period, but of course it was negative. I am quite worried about this. My breasts have reduced in size but are still very abnormal. There are no lumps or other abnormalities, just size. Thank you for your time and consideration,
-- Victoria
