Anybody been through this or have any >insight??? thanks Medically, not enough to go on. There are atypical cells that can be found and that may be what they are talking about. With your family history, it sounds like erring on the side of over-reacting is in your best long-term interests. BTW, have you considered genetic testing (Brca 1, Brca 2)? Also, nothing wrong with a second opinion about the pathology or the decision to remove it.
