33 yr old mother of four.... breast ca?From: mary (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 27 Feb 2000 09:22:06 -0600 (CST)
I am not sure if anyone out there can give me input on this - but I am getting desperate for answers! I am a 33 y/0 mother of four - with a family hx of breast ca - my mom died at 49 of this, my sister had bilat. mastectomy two years ago at 34. Now i have a lump - right below an incision line from a biopsy two years ago. Went to doc - he sent me to the surgeon - who called in a pathologist - who did a needle biopsy - they all stood there discussing... it is not benign, the cells have large nucleous, irreg. borders, overlapping... etc. etc., and how bout surgery Friday?? WAIT - did they say cancer with out saying cancer? am I supposed to understand the pathology? Why the hand holding with no definative explanation?? Anybody been through this or have any insight??? thanks
