Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: IBS and Pregnancy" Last year I was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome after having had two ultrasounds and lower g.i. tests. There was always a dull pain on the lower right side of my abdomen that hurt through my back and down the front of my right thigh. The pain had gotten a little better over the past few months, but was still present most of the time. This past week, I found out I was pregnant, and the pain has come back in full force--exactly the same as before. Is the IBS and pregnancy related or does this sound like something more serious?
