2nd negative laparoscopy in 2 yrs/continued pain!

I have just had my 2nd negative laparoscopy in 2 years. The only reason this one was done was because I continue to have left sided pain. I have had a complete bowel work up by 2 different general surgeons and all was normal, including 2 normal colonoscopies. I had a hysterectomy in 1993 and both ovaries removed in 2 separate surgeries because of ovarian cysts (large) and endometriosis inside of my left ovary. I also did deep pelvic massage where the therapist said that she could feel adhesions. 3 previous laparoscopies revealed extensive adhesions involving the colon (adhered to sidewall). This scope and the one before showed no adhesions and the colon was free. I had my gyne and a general surgeon involved in the scope. Because I work at a surgical center, I ran into both of the surgeons a week after the procedure was done. The general surgeon wants me to see a GI doctor then wants me to report to him. He will be going over my records until then. He stated that a laparotomy would probably be beneficial as the adhesions could be under the colon. He stated that "scopes" give you a very limited view. Can someone give me an opinion on this problem?? Any advice would be truly appreciated. I am at my wits end with the pain. I am considering concious pain mapping, but have to be accepted into the procedure, which I heard it was difficult to be accepted.
