Doctors and Readers: I am in my 2nd cycle TTC. I am 29 with very irregular cycles ranging from 38 - 48 days. I have started to chart my bbt and cervical mucus. I do have signs of ovulation but since my cycles are usually long it is tough to pinpoint the days prior to what i think is ovulation. I have also been checking my cervix (I've been reading Toni Weschler's book) and these next few days would be what I would consider fertile (based on prior month's observations) however I do not have the egg white mucus? Is it possible that I could be ovulating but not have the eggwhites? My cervix does feel high and soft and wet - but no egg whites. Please advise. Also - FYI - I do have a dermoid cyst on my left ovary - it is approx 3cm and was discovered and has been monitored for three years. Could this effect my fertility??? I am going to my obgyn tomorrow for my annual pelvic exam and preconception test. I have read in your forum that some readers have had their thyroid tested and prolactin tested. What is prolactin? What other tests should I have done? My husband and I are ANXIOUS to conceive so please respond soon. THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!!! :)
