Question for Dr. Marchbein and reply to Dr. BraunFrom: Anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 20 Feb 2000 18:22:16 -0600 (CST)
On Sat. Jan.26, 2000 Dr. Marchbein answered a question for Judy. My question was a followup to your statement that natural progesterone will act differently. How was this proven in heart disease? Is Cenestin and Prometrium considered natural? Dr. Braun had responded to me and asked me how I knew I had endometrial tissue in the cervix following supracervical hysterectomy. I guess I do not know for sure. Can one be tested for this? I had one ovary removed during the hyster. Two years later I went throught menopause. For a few months, I had regular light bleeding for about 2 days each month. I have been on hormone replacement ,Cenestin and Prometrium for about one year. Recently , I had two episodes of light bleeding. My GYN saw something new on my cervix, did a biopsy, followed by a leep procedure two weeks later. I had severe inflammation and Nabothian cysts. Two weeks after the leep I had heavy bleeding and passed some clots. I went to the hospital and was packed. My GYN did not think this came from the leep site. I am doing good now. Another strange happening I posted about before was I was placed on Testosterone cream. My levels were normal prior to menopause. We did some hormone testing recently. My count for Testosterone was 1400- out of sight! I used alittle each night. Had this jar for 3 months and still have some left. I am off it and will be retested. What do you think of all this? Thanks again for giving your precious family time to us to help us. Anne
