Daniel Braun, MD: "Re: Almost thru with 10 antibotic course and still not feeling good" My dr put me on Augmentin for UTI thanks to the two kinds of bacteria that has continued to persist. I will be completing the ten day course on Fri, and thanks to the fact that I also have vulvodynia (which makes having yeast and urinary tract infections worse) I'm still having vulvar pain. I've completed 7 days of the antibotic already but now it leads me to ask this question: Shouldn't the pain be nearly gone by now even though I need to complete the full course of treatment? Is this something that I should be calling the dr about, or just wait until Mon when I go to drop off the urine for culture? The reason for my concern is b/c I feel like the pain is starting to get worse again even though at one point I honestly thought it was getting better. Thanks so much for your advice.
