A Pain Clinic is there for someone that has pain that is chronic, and I realize yours is not. Pain Clinics are run by anesthesiologists normally that have an added interest in treating people in PAIN with PAIN MEDICATIONS. I have been going to a Pain Clinic for almost nine years for severe nerve damage in my arms from the finger tips to the neck on both sides, as well as Adenomyosis. I am being treated with Pain Medications. I do go for Psychological counseling, but with any chronic illness, and again, I realize you said yours is acute, depression can come into play. I for one did not see where Dr. Braun was implying that by saying to go to a pain clinic was saying that there was a psychological component. As for the low grade temps. I see an infectious disease Dr. who is also my internist. He has always told me that when a temp is at 100.4 or higher, that is considered a "Fever." Good luck and I hope you find help for your problem. Adhesions are horrible. I have them, and it doesn't matter what you do, they come back, again and again. Feel better!
