Ashley Hill, MD: "Re: CA-125 blood test and ovarian cyst" Three years ago, I went for an annual exam, and the Doctor said I had an enlarged uterus, and wanted to do more tests. I had an ultrasound done the next day and it showed fibroid tumors, (which he wasn't worried about) and an ovarian cyst, (6cm, then went down to 2cm). He also did a blood test at the time (CA-125 blood test) which came out elevated, (46) He called me and told me to come back for further tests. Everything came out benign, but I'm wondering whether that blood test comes out elevated for other reasons?
