Without knowing the details of the alleged frontal lobe disorder it's impossible to say. If he does not have such a disorder, then it's clearly malpractice (carelessness leading to harm). However, if he can prove it was not intentional (ie nervous breakdown or something similar) then it may not be criminal. I don't know this doctor, but I cannot imagine anything that would possess a doctor to do something so overt and obvious, knowing that it would cost him his license, and, more importantly, his reputation as a healer. Human behaviour is often unpredictable, but why would anyone do this? If he does indeed have a frontal lobe disorder, then this is an even larger tragedy. The patient was significantly harmed, and the doctor will die from a horrible disease. Many of these disorders are like accelerated Alzheimer's Disease. I hope answers are forthcoming. I hope the patient is able to have successful cosmetic surgery , and I hope for his sake that it was negligence, and not Pick's disease. Thanks,
