Depending on the degree of previa. Placenta Previa can be marginal; where just a bit of placenta is close or over cervix, partial where a larger portion of placenta is over cervix, or complete, where the placenta lies entirely over the cervix. It can be extremely serious. Bedrest is usually the normal rx, unless close enough for delivery.Nothing tha.t disturbs the cervix is allowed, such as sex, or pelvic exam (unless done by MD)@ 25 weeks, your pal has a way to go before baby is ready to be delivered. Looking at bedrest for about 10 weeks. Complete previa is always delivered by c-section. Your pal will need a lot of help and support in the next few weeks. Good luck to her!
