pregnancy or paranoia?From: Very (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 31 Jan 2000 02:52:08 -0600 (CST)
Hi. I really think I am pregnant. No I haven't gone to the doctor yet, simply because I am scared, and I am worried about telling my husband. Of course I will go eventually, but I have a couple of questions first. The other day, I noticed that I felt a faint thump in my uterus. ( I do realize that I would have to be around 14 weeks for that) Of course I just passed it off as gas. However, I have felt it several times since then, two or three times or more a day for a few days, always in the same place. I have a 1 year old, so this is way too eerily familiar. At the same time, I have had a brown discharge everyday for at least three weeks which I have passed off as when I missed two pills this month, it must have messed up my cycle, and I have been hoping that my tummy (looking slightly pudgy) is just bloated, considering I should be starting my period again soon. I am very thin. I took two home pregnancy tests this week which both showed negative. I have not missed a period. But I am just not convinced. That little thump thump persists, and my tummy seems to feel a little tight. I wonder that if it sounds like I probably am pregnant, why the brown discharge as well as my period. My other question is what is the earliest in pregnancy you've ever heard of some one feeling fetal movements. Remember, I am extremely slender, and have been pregnant before, fairly recently. Maybe I can feel them pretty early. If I am pregnant and 14 weeks at that, it means I have had 3 periods since, and negative test results. I hope to goodness I am just paranoid and it's all psychological. Thanks for your time in reading this. It is much appreciated.
