Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: frequent brown discharge" I read some of the other postings, but the question didn't seem to be answered about a brown discharge. This has been happening to me on and off ever since I started my period, 12 years ago. Sometimes it occurs in place of a normal period and almost always as the period ends. I have had ammenorhia on and off due to an eating disorder, but I've been pretty normal (every 4-6 weeks) for about 16 months now. Currently, its' been only a few weeks since the start of my last period and is only the brown discharge with no odor and no pain. Is this something that you can explain or should I see my doctor?
