I have been having very heavy bleeding with huge clots for about 4 months so i decided to go to the doctors.She did a pelvic exam and thought maybe fibroids(i'm only 27 so I was shocked).They did a sonogram and transvaginal sonogram and found a cyst on my left ovary(2.5 cm)and three more on the right ovary(again 2 of them were about 2.5 cm and the other was larger.They also found a polyp,but I dont know much about it.I will go this wed.for a water sonogram so they can get a better image.There was also mention of my uterine lining.I have 3 kids but when i was younger i had 3 misscarrages.I have been on the pill (since a very young age)except for when I wanted my babies,but then I got right back on the pills again after having them.Its been three years since my last child.Can someone please fill me in on what are polyps and is it normal to have 3 cyst on one ovary?Can they be functional if I've been taking bcp for so long?Thanks!
