36 mm solid massFrom: Terri (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 28 Jan 2000 20:20:47 -0600 (CST)
I had my uterus and cervix removed in 1997, and my ovaries were removed in 1998. I have had chronic and severe right-sided pelvic pain for three months now. A sonogram showed what the technician thought was a right ovary. A CT scan was ordered and it revealed a "36 mm low attenuation nodule at the expected location of right ovary." I know this will need to be removed, my question is if it would be done by laparoscopy or a laparotomy. I'm assuming that since there is the chance of it being cancerous, that a laporotomy will be done. I won't be seen by the doctor until February 18th. Thank you in advance.
