trying to conceive

I had a quick question about the timing of pregnancy. My doctor and a lot of books say to have sex every other day around the days of ovulation because sperm can carry on to the next day or more. If I have a positive ovulation test on a Sunday and therefore ovulation on Monday when should we have sex? Both? Actually my cervical mucus is much more fertile and stretchy a day or two before a positive result which could be from the Clomid. I also don't get the pains associated from ovulation which makes me wonder but temperature changes on my graph prove otherwise. Could we have sex every day for about 3-4 days or will we be overdoing it? We have been trying for 1-1/2 years.

Thank you
