The subject was "no sex drive or orgasm" -- the word "intercourse" was not identified in the original post -- only lack of libido and inability to achieve orgasm. I made no assumptions about HOW the original poster determined she was unable to achieve orgasm. You did. It would certainly seem a reasonable recommendation to explore with self-stimulation (if that avenue had not already been tried) to determine whether or not the difficulties with achieving orgasm were controlled by something within the "mental" events of the relationship during sex OR possibly due to something based more directly in physiology. Just as it is a reasonable recommendation to consider the possible interference that medication might have -- and equally as reasonable a suggestion as speaking with a physician about all of this and more when sexual dysfunction occurs. My apologies for my rude suppositions about your views on female sexual dysfunction and hysterectomy. I do tend to get a bit hypersensitive about this issue.
