First let me express my sorrow for your loss. HCG levels are a very poor method of dating a pregnancy, and the range for any given gestational age is so wide as to make anything beyond a general time reference silly. The fact that the lab slips have date/value correlations fools the inexperienced into believing that it is a precise way to date gestation.
