Any advice is greatly appreciated. This is a difficult problem. Your doctor is correct that there is a limit to the number of cycles that you should take Clomid. This is for 2 reasons. The first is the possible association with use of Clomid and ovarian cancer in later life. Since this risk is proportionate to the length of time you use Clomid, there have to be limitations to how many cycles you use it. The second reason is that if you are not pregnant in 4-6 cycles using a particular treatment, the odds are very poor that you will ever become pregnant on that treatment, and therefor it would be time to move on to something else. You will definitely need to see a Reproductive Endocrinologist at that point. Here's hoping that this is the month.
