Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: Hormonal treament" Dear Doctor, I am 36 years old and to make the story short (had 2 ectopic pregnancies - both fallopian tubes and 1 ovary removed). Due to a lot of recent complications, I am considering having the last ovary removed. I was told I will need to take female hormones. Question: What are the implications, side effects, benefits (if any) on taking hormones at my age. Do you know of many women my age going through the same treatment and still have a healthy, productive live?
