Sarah,

Having a normal child does not exclude chromosomal problems causing future repeated miscarriages. Experts disagree on how often chromosomal issues with the parents lead to repeated pregnancy loss. They all agree that it does occur with sufficinent frequency to warrant investigation. As you probably already know, it is a simple blood test from you and your husband. The results are usually available in 2 -- 3 weeks. If it turns out normal, that's great relief! If not, then there will be counselling about what can be done.
