'Emergency' Lubricant - Could this hurt me?

I hope someone can either ease my mind or tell me what to do to.

In the 'heat of the moment' this afternoon, my boyfriend and I were in immediate need of some extra lubrication. I had nothing handy. While rummaging around, hoping to find some KY, we found something else and thought it might serve the same purpose. To make a long story short, we used glycerin suppositories vaginally. Now I'm VERY worried that these might cause some problem. If so, what can I do now to hopefully prevent anything bad from happening? Douche? I've never douched, but I would if I should.

On the other hand, if there's no danger (I hope!), can these be used safely for this purpose? I ask because they served their purpose and were less messy than the KY.

Thanks.
