1st Baby was premature Part IIFrom: Nancy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 12 Jan 2000 23:34:13 -0600 (CST)
Oops, forgot to ask... based on the history I gave in my first part....would my next pregnancy be considered high-risk? My new OB seems pretty kick back about problems. Should I scope out a high risk MD? Also, my baby was born with a tight true knot in her umbilical cord (discovered at delivery)...hypovolemic at birth (required albumin, 10d stay in NICU), SGA (4lb 14 oz at 36 1/2 wks). I understand true knots are rare (1%). I imagine her medical problems at birth were related to the knot, so I assume they do not make my second pregnancy high risk. Am I right?
-- Many Thanks, Nancy
