Palps-- what's normal, what's not?

Quick question about the heart. I know that eating sweet, delicious, delectible candy can cause heart palps in me. So I like to live dangerously once in a while. Anyways, that has happened this weekend, plus even after I didn't have anything to eat. I have had some stress recently, too but it's all family related. Of course I'd notice in those emotional moments, too.

Palps would last at least three hours after eating the sugar. Heat rate goes to 90's-100. At one point yesterday, for the first time I did feel some chest pain. I've felt chest pain before b/c of my stomach, but this time it was "squeezing". It only lasted a few seconds and the pain hasn't happened since. Maybe a half hour to an hour later I finally decided to check my B/P which came out 96/54 with a pulse of 96, if I remember correctly. (Norm 110-120/66-80, pulse no higher than 60-80) By that time things had just started to improve--a little. I had been tired, and felt more comfortable sitting than standing. Heart was racing for quite some time. Now I know that someone will probably say something like "CMD Now" or what not, and that is probably what I would answer someone. But I just hate to get involved in all those heart things again.

PS: btw, I'm 14 weeks now, and I've been feeling the baby do somersaults for a week and a half now! Even its been quiet this weekend, though.
