Chronic Cervicitis related to fibroidsFrom: Melissa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 6 Jan 2000 14:16:55 -0600 (CST)
Iam 29 yrs no kids, I have had 5 pelvic exams in last year.2 normal paps 1 with inflammation. Doctors all comment that I have alot of discharge and treat me every time with antibiotics even though they see no sign of bacteria in the microscope just white blood cells, but it keeps coming back. They remark that the cervix is red a bleeds when touched, lots of discharge.I have been tested, cultured, and treated blind with antibiotics for every vaginal disease one could have,I always use condoms and BCP pills for contraception.I have one small submucous fibroid that causes excessive bleeding on menstruation which the BCP help, but it is still pretty heavy I have to use tampons or its out of control.Could the tampons be the cause or the fibroid which causes pain too. I have always had quite of bit of discharge that is white, but not the cervical problems which coincide with the discovery of the fibroid. Is there a cure for this problem and will it develop into cancer? Mother died from cervical cancer and had same problems.Thank you.
