Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: Ortho-Novum side effects after 1.5yrs?" I have been on the same pill(ortho-Novum 1/35) for 1.5 yrs. My only complaint with this pill was getting used to having a period every few months which was tough (I have always had very light cycles. Anyways 12/15 I noticed my breasts were swollen and tender but I attributed this to a rare case of PMS since I was to start on the 18th. On the 18th I had my ususal very very light occasional period and figured the swelling and sorness would be gone when I resumed my pills. Well it hasn't. Today 1/3 I am still sore and swollen but mu HPT showed negative. Is it possible to have a month of side effects after being on the same pill for so long?
