Revealing genderFrom: Joshua Copel (joshua.copel@yale.edu)Mon Sep 27 10:02:21 1999
Not to toot my own horn too much, but for another take on ethical issues related to revealing gender in this past week's NY Times Mgazine go to <http://www.nytimes.com/library/magazine/home/19990926mag-ethicist.html>. Also, one of our residents here from India tells me his understanding is that revealing gender is strongly discouraged for all the reasons previously discussed, but not illegal. Josh Copel

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
