Re: New Technique for Fetal Gender Determination

Folks, I ran this by the Chair of the Medical (Laboratory) Technology Department here at UAMS and she does not believe their claims. If this is a scam... at $150.00 per pop, they have about a 50/50 chance of being correct. If they tell the 50% when wrong, that they only claimed 95% accuracy, they may be getting away with this... and a lot of $$$$!

Does anyone on this list(s) know of any maternal urine test that can accurately determine the gender of the embryo as early as 6 weeks? Even at 25 weeks?

Not only is their information biased in approach, they give no references to published trials... It sounds illegal to make claims like this to me, if they can't back it up.

I deleted the Web URL from this message... I do not want to spread this sort of thing around until it is confirmed.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
