The two sides definitely did not communicate. In fact, the patient had not mentioned to me that she had a bicornuate uterus, and neither did the referring physician, so for awhile I was trying to figure out what this was, and was trying to make the left ovary out of it. I did know that she had had three previous C Sections, and finally asked her if any of her doctors had told her she had a funny uterus. So the message is, get a good history. Do not assume that the referring provider has given you all the information that is available. Allen Worrall

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
