Small Lesion or Chorioangioma?From: DaylePT@aol.comMon May 17 18:17:32 1999
I am a 25 year old female, i am 10 weeks pregnant. I have had a brief episode of spotting, very light brown for approx 1 and a half weekswhich stopped 2 weeks age. I have had 2 ultrasounds done, the first one showed a small "clump" within the sac and the appropraie size fetus. The fetal heartbeat is present and the second ultrasound showed approp growth but the "clump is still present. it measures 16mmx10mm. the echo density of the "clump is synonomous with the placenta and it's location is in close approximation with the placenta. What do you think or recommend, what could it be and how is a definitive diagnosis made.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
