Re: HELP!!!!!!!!From: Abdinasir Abubakar (aabubaka@jhsph.edu)Mon May 10 00:11:25 1999
I am family doctor practicing medicine in a rural hospital, Somalia. I am the only doctor in the hospital. Recently, one of my colleagues at Johns Hopkins donated to my hospital an ultrasound machine. However, I don't have any formal training to perform either Ob/GYn or any other organs. I am trying to educate myself through watching videos, CD-ROM, books, lecture notes, etc. Neither my hospital nor myself can afford to go overseas training and there is no formal ultrasound training in my country. Therefore, I am wondering if anyone can suggest me any kind of good educational materials such as ultrasound videos, and any other materials that you may think will help me to perform the basic ultrasound. Thanks in advance for you help. Dr. Abdinasir Abubakar

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
