GastoschisisFrom: Dr. Basanta Lall Shrestha (blshrestha@healthnet.org.np)Tue May 4 11:44:46 1999
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Dear Colleagues, I have scanned a 26 years old lady (2nd Garvida) to-day at 26 weeks of gestation. It was a single fetus with Gastroschisis. No other anomalies found. Gastroschisis was diagnosed during her previous pregnancy (around 1 year before) also, which was terminated at 28 week of gestation. Now I would like to ask a few questions regarding gastroschisis. 1. What is the most commen cause of gastroschisis ? 2. Is the recurrence of gastroschisis very common? 3. Is there any possiblity of intrauterine therapy for fetus with gastroschisis, if yes, where it is available? 4. What can be done to avoid the recurrence of gastroschisis during next pregnancy? I would appreciate, if you send me list of literature regarding gastroschisis. Thank you very much. Sincerely Dr. Basanta Lall Shrestha Ultrasonic Diagnostic & Research Centre P. O.
