someone on the internet said: I just recieved this letter from a sonographer I trained. I am away from my files. Can anyone help? "today we were told by one of our Radiologists not to tell the patient the sex of the baby. And to keep our narrative while scanning the fetus VERY GENERIC.

When training songraphers, the concept of teamwork and ultimate responsibility has to be part of the lesson.... It has taken me years to get to the point that we can talk with some patients and not with others and when to know the difference.... best wishes.... baby is crying :)

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
