placenta- 19/03/99

Dear netters, I saw a large placenta today. The upper margin reaches upto the fundus and lower margin reaches upto internal os. It was a late 2nd trimester. I've asked for a follow up scan. Usually, if the upper margin is at fundus, then the lower margin should be far from the os- am I right? Please give me your comments. REGARDS, DR. JOE ANTONY.
