Re: Pseudofunnelling of lower uterine segmnentFrom: dr. amit sengupta (asengup@tm.net.my)Tue Mar 16 23:35:15 1999
Clinically such pseudofunnelling may be seen in multiparous gravid mothers. Painless contraction may be somewhat explained on the basis of Braxton-Hick's. Rapid painless contraction(high frequency, low intensity or power) may be documented sometimes using CTG, most probably due to some altered Estrogen-Progesteron-oxytocin action. It will be nice to follow up the mother and document all the changes, clinical and biophysical etc. please keep us informed. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
