Occupational safety, continuedFrom: Paula S. Woletz, MPH, RDMS, RDCS (woletzps@umdnj.edu)Wed Mar 10 08:48:26 1999
An industrial engineer and an occupational medicine physican from NIOSH are helping us evaluate the causes of musculoskeletal disorders among sonographers (and sonologists). They are interviewing people, and videotaping sonographers in action as well as evaluating the workstations and equipment. They hope to come up with recommendations so that future injuries can be avoided. They would be interested in visiting other ultrasound facilities besides ours. Please let me know if any of you would like to invite them into your departments, and I'll pass the information to them. If you don't want to publicly post it here, you can e-mail me directly. I will share findings as we get them.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
