That sounds good - it could be a form like we use now to post images. It would be simple to do, would not take much time. If the internet is ever going to be used to collect data, it has to start with something like that. We would learn as we went along. Our results would be of interest, but could never be real science, since we would have no way of confirming the cases, weeding out maliciously false case reports (not from sonographers, but from anyone who comes across the form - look how many patients ask questions on our site) etc. Nevertheless, I think it would be an interesting thing to do. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
