Re: Ultrasound marker for fetal post-maturityFrom: Terry J. DuBose (DuBose@io.com)Sun Jan 31 10:34:00 1999
I would suggest you use the femoral and humeral diaphysis measurements to date the pregnancy, the head will be molded near term. However, to use this be aware that the extremities may also be abnormal. However, the long bones are probably the best method of dating the pregnancy if you are nearing term. You can also use DJR Hutchon’s gestational age calculator, found at: http://www.hutchon.freeserve.co.uk/ Please let us know what you decided and how you do it. Good luck. Terry J. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
