Reminder!! The 4th Annual Ultrasound for Surgeons & Surgical Residents course is being held on MARCH 18 & 19, 1999 at The University of Vermont in Burlington. This course offers lectures and small group skill stations featuring LIVE PATIENTS with REAL ISSUES such as breast cysts/lesions, aneurysm, and much more! The course is open to everyone but is formatted to provide the general surgeon and surgical residents with knowledge and experience in ultrasound principles, physics, and instrumentation. The physicians will learn the clinical application of ultrasound and will learn to acquire and interpret high-quality ultrasound images. Exhibitors will be on site to feature the latest in ultrasound equipment such as ATL, Hewlett-Packard, BioSound, WL Gore, Wyeth-Ayerst Labs, and more. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
