Re: clinical problemFrom: Joseph A Worrall (jworrall@alaska.net)Tue Jan 5 23:41:30 1999
I would sure want to know as much as possible about what I was about to encounter before I operated on what you describe. Will you need a bowel prep? Catheterize the ureters (if you belong to that school) preop? I do not do surgery any longer and do not have to deal with HMOs, so I cannot evaluate that part of the equation. Did you get an ultrasound? How about IVP? I sure would get the CAT scan or MRI.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
